Activating the ”allow duplicate opportunity" setting allows you to add the same contact to a pipeline more than once, facilitating better management of repeat business opportunities.


Implementing Duplicate Opportunities


Enabling the Feature


Go to the  System Settings, inside the Business Profile section scroll to the “General” section, and activate the "Allow Duplicate Opportunity" setting.

Adding a Duplicate Opportunity


Navigate to the opportunity screen and add a new opportunity.

If the contact is already present, you can now add them again. Ensure you provide a unique identifier (e.g., a modified opportunity name) to distinguish between the entries.

Using Workflows for Duplicate Opportunities


In the Automations tab, you can set up workflows under which a duplicate opportunity is created automatically. For instance, when a contact replies to a specific workflow, they can be added to the pipeline again as a new opportunity.

This feature is invaluable for businesses that have clients with ongoing or repeat needs. For example, a digital marketing agency working on multiple projects for the same client can now manage these as separate opportunities within the same pipeline, streamlining project tracking and client communication.


Troubleshooting and FAQs


Can I merge duplicate opportunities later? 

Currently, opportunities need to be managed individually. Merging may be considered in future updates.
